La West Street Limited è una replica fedele delle chitarre realizzate da Paul Reed Smith nel negozio originale di West Street con l'aggiunta di un esotico top in Mogano Quilt.
Questa chitarra presenta body e manico in mogano Africano in pezzo unico, tastiera in Palissandro Brasiliano e ponte tremolo in ottone non placcato.
La paletta è decorata con l'intarsio dell'aquila PRS e il simbolo OM sulla copertura del truss rod, entrambi in Abalone Green Heart, cosi come i segnatasti Birds sulla tastiera in Brazilian Rosewood.
Il disegno dell'intarsio del drago sul corpo (anche questo in Abalone Green Heart) è preso direttamente da alcune delle prime chitarre di Paul.

With the '1980 West Street LTD', Paul Reed Smith presented a reminiscence of the beginnings of his guitar making activity, limited to just 300 models. 1980 West Street was the address of the workshop where young Paul took his first entrepreneurial steps. At the time, he snuck behind the scenes of well-known musicians to introduce the guitars he designed and built.

Carlos Santana, in particular, is said to have been very enthusiastic, and ordered a copy right away. Consequently, the body design is based on the 'Santana' models with the flatter horns and the different headstock compared to the Custom. The electronics with a 3-way toggle switch, two 1980 'West Street LTD' zebra humbuckers and a master volume and master tone each correspond to the switching configuration of a Santana.

The equipment is luxurious and lavish. Artist-grade sapele top and headstock veneer with a small dragon inlay below the bridge, beautifully crafted artist birds are mentioned here as an example.

As usual, this PRS is also perfectly processed, but is particularly convincing in terms of sound. A powerful, fat rock sound and soulful, singing blues tones can be elicited from the LTD, 24 frets with a 24.5" scale and a powerful neck are the basis on which the feeling of playing is created.
