The Hop Picker is Atkin's brand new square shouldered Dreadnought, and a heartfelt tribute to the hop gardens of Kent that surround the Atkin workshop.
Built around a Baked Sitka Spruce top with baked bracing and paired with African Mahogany back & sides and a one-piece Mahogany neck, it delivers the classic square shoulder voice: strong fundamental, punchy lows and a wide, open midrange that sits perfectly under the voice or in a flatpicking context.
The 24 7/8" short scale length and 1 11/16" nut width make it an immediately comfortable and easy-playing instrument, while the exclusive 'Hop Picker' inlay pack on fingerboard, headstock and Atkin design reverse belly bridge, together with the 'Hops inlays' on the 3 point pickguard, make it one of the most visually distinctive guitars Atkin has ever produced.
As always with Atkin, the aged nitrocellulose finish comes as standard, giving the guitar the look and feel of an instrument that has already lived a life.
